Today we want to take a moment to celebrate one of our leaders here at Bowfell House as we say goodbye to Connor Smith and wish him well as he emigrates, starting a new life travelling round the world – end goal Australia!
A large proportion of our team had never worked in social care before coming to Bowfell House and I’m not sure Connor even knew what role he was applying for! But he made a commitment to himself and to us.
Over the last six years we have seen immeasurable growth in Connor, personally and professionally. He’s developed from healthcare assistant, through enhanced and ends his career with us as an outstanding team lead. He’s developed strong and lasting relationships, being a firm favourite in the staff team, with residents and visitors alike. He now takes his Bowfell Bear with him and has promised to send photos of the bear as it journeys through Asia and beyond.
We will all miss him and ask you to wish him luck on his exciting new journey 🌍 🌈 🍀
