On Saturday 17th September, Bowfell House finally hosted its summer garden party! And what an occasion it was!

Residents and families alike basked in the mid-September sun, soaking up our wonderful stalls. Our very own kitchen manager, Ali, sold an array of lovely baked goods, which proved popular with the punter. Simon, who can be found at SCC Photography, offered several fantastic prints, which the residents had much joy at admiring. The tombola went down a storm as usual! As did the Jamaican food stall (which was so popular there was no curried goat left after an hour!). Trishaw trips gave people the opportunity to test out the thing we are raising money for! Also, three of our very brave members of staff ‘Braved the Shave’ for MacMillan. Well done, ladies!

Bob Young did a fantastic job entertaining all, young and old, with several hits from across the decades. He also announced the results for the raffle, where our teeth whitening top prize was claimed! He also led us in an impeccably observed moments silence in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Overall, it was a superb afternoon, with a fantastic amount raised which will go directly to our trishaw fund.
